76 candidates certified as patent attorneys: results of the qualification exam
The Examination Board of the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations (UANIPIO/IP Office) has completed the certification of candidates for patent attorneys.
On September 22-25, as well as on September 30, 2025, the third, i.e. final, stage of the qualifying exam took place – interviews were conducted and their results were determined.
Thus, on September 22-25, 66 candidates for patent attorneys took part in the interview. Based on the results of the interviews, at its meeting on September 25, 2025, the Examination Board of the UANIPIO decided to certify them as patent attorneys.

On September 30, 2025, an additional session of the third stage of the qualification exam was held, in which 10 candidates participated. Based on the results of the additional session, at a meeting on September 30, 2025, a decision was made to certify them as patent attorneys.

Based on the results of the qualification examination, 76 candidates were certified as patent attorneys in the following areas of specialization:
74 candidates specializing in “trademarks”;
60 candidates specializing in “industrial designs”;
24 candidates specializing in “inventions and utility models”;
16 candidates specializing in “semiconductor product layout”;
37 candidates specializing in “geographical indications”;
27 candidates specializing in “legal services”.

Additional information:
In accordance with theRegulation on Intellectual Property Representatives (Patent Attorneys), a person certified as a patent attorney shall, no later than sixty calendar days from the date of receipt of the decision of the Examination Board, submit to the UANIPIO an application for registration as a representative in IP matters (patent attorney) and for the issuance of a certificate of representative in intellectual property matters (patent attorney).
The application shall be drawn up in accordance with the form set out in Appendix 1 to these Regulations and shall be submitted in paper or electronic form.
The application shall be accompanied by a document confirming payment of the fee for the issuance of a certificate of a representative in IP matters (patent attorney) in accordance with the Procedure for the payment of fees for actions related to the protection of intellectual property rights, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 23, 2004 №.1716
