For Ukraine’s Independence Day, we are highlighting what makes our country unique in the world – its geographical indications. Geographical indications recognise quality and tradition; they are a part of Ukrainian authenticity, uniqueness, and independence.

Currently, 29 geographical indications have been registered in Ukraine:

• Folk Artisan Crafts: Krolevets Towels, Petrykivka Painting;

• Wines: Chabag, Acha-Abag, Prydunaiska Bessarabia, Yalpuh, Frumushika Valley, Tavria, Zakarpattia (Zakarpattia Wine), Sonyachna Dolyna, Novyi Svit, Zolota Balka, Meganom, Balaklava, Magarach;

• Ukrainian Flavours: Hutsul Sheep Bryndzya, Hutsul Cow Bryndza, Med Zakarpattia (Zakarpattia Honey), Melitopol Cherry, Khersonsky Kavun (Kherson Watermelon), Myaso Baranyny Frumushika (Frumushika Lamb);

• Mineral Waters: Myrhorodska, Skhidnytska, Polyana Kvasova, Menska Ostrech, Tsarychanska, Truskavetska, Zbruchanska, Molochanska.
