On 27 December 2024, Mykola Pototskyi was appointed Deputy Director of the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations (UANIPIO/IP Office).
Prior to his appointment, Mykola Pototskyi was an advisor to the Director.
Mykola Pototskyi is an intellectual property lawyer with more than 20 years of experience in legal practice, research, lecturing and law- drafting. He is a Doctor of Law.
In his new position, he plans to focus on legal, information and digitalisation support of the industrial property sector.
The priority areas of work of the Deputy Director of the IP Office are, in particular
‘The mission of my position: the industrial property sector of Ukraine, integrated into the European space, is a favourable climate for inventing, provides modern and effective protection of industrial property rights, contains wide opportunities for rights management, is convenient and digitalised for users and patent attorneys,’ noted Mykola Pototskyi.
