    UANIPIO at the INTA 2026 Annual Meeting in London

     

    The delegation from the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations (UANIPIO/IP Office) is participating in the International Trademark Association Annual Meeting (INTA Annual Meeting 2026), took place May 2–6, 2026, in London, United Kingdom.

     

    Every year, the event brings together thousands of representatives from government agencies, international organizations and business, legal and academic communities. The program includes panel discussions, expert sessions, committee meetings and bilateral meetings.

     

    The Ukrainian IP Office is represented at the event by:

     

    • Olena Orliuk, Director;

     

    • Mykola Pototskyi, Deputy Director;

     

    • Andrii Sukhovii, Head of the Inventions, Utility Models and Semiconductor Product Layouts Applications Examination Division, Department for Industrial Property Rights Application Examination;

     

    • Dmytro Kondyk, Head of the International Trademark Registrations Unit.

     

    “Participation in the INTA Annual Meeting is an important opportunity for Ukraine to present the results of progress and resilience in the national intellectual property sphere, strengthen international partnerships and deepen integration into the global IP community,” noted Olena Orliuk.

    It is important to mention that a significant number of representatives from the Ukrainian professional community of patent attorneys are also participating in the event, including members of the National Association of Patent Attorneys (NAPA), which highlights Ukraine’s active professional integration into the international intellectual property system.

     

    Participants in the INTA Annual Meeting 2026 include leaders and representatives of leading international and national intellectual property institutions, including the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the European Patent Office (EPO), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), national IP Offices of EU Member States, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, Singapore and other countries.

    As part of the event, a meeting was held between the UANIPIO delegation and INTA leadership, specifically with Etienne Sans de Acedo, INTA’s Director General. During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of the development of the national intellectual property system in Ukraine, legislative reforms in the framework of European integration, as well as opportunities to expand the participation of Ukrainian experts in INTA’s activities, particularly in committees, educational initiatives and expert platforms.

     

    Particular attention was paid to sharing experiences in reforming trademark registration procedures, as well as to supporting the intellectual property professional community.

     

    “We greatly appreciate INTA’s openness to cooperation and its support for the Ukrainian professional community. Expanding the participation of Ukrainian experts in INTA’s activities is a key element in the development of the national intellectual property system,” emphasized Olena Orliuk, Director of the IP Office.

     

    Mykola Pototskyi, Deputy Director of UANIPIO, noted:

     

    “Support from the national and international professional community is crucial to the implementation of our reforms and the further development of the intellectual property system in Ukraine.”

    Participation in the INTA Annual Meeting 2026 helps to strengthen international cooperation, exchange best practices and promote the Ukrainian intellectual property system globally.
